OC FIGHT TEAM REPORT
SHOOTO SWITZERLAND 2

At the 04. September 2004 the Shooto II Switzerland took place in Zurich-Swiss! The event consisted of three parts, how the BJJ Swiss Open Tournament, Shooto Amateur and the evening event in Professional Shooto! The OC FIGHT TEAM had traveled with altogether 4 fighters! Once Sebastian Korschilgen with coach Ulf Fritzmann for the Professional Shooto in the evening - as well as Armin Eslami, Mike Cüppers and Fathi Balci, which should deny the ADCC Submission Wrestling Super Fights in the context of the BJJ Swiss Open! Originally also Markus Karallus from Thaikido-Hamburg should fight in the Switzerland, but however then he was set for 26. September for EVT 4 in Copenhagen-Sweden! - Here only once a large praise and many thanks to ANDREAS SOPPER of the Gorilla Team Sopper! Andreas was the OC Team Coach and he settled really everything with the travel, and drove the OC Grappling Team in a shuttle service to Zurich (Ulf and Sebastian flew from Berlin) and finally he has coached also the Grapplers! The OC Grappling Fight Team further accompanied by fighter Malte Janssen and the Brazilian Coach Daniel d`Dane, which brought the Luta Livre to Germany! Since the event in Switzerland was visited predominantly by Brazilian sportsmens (Promotor Augusto Frota had invited the Brazilian Top Team as well as the American Top Team) thus Daniel d`Dane knew many compatriots on this event! Andreas Sopper describes here his impressions of the Fights of the OC FIGHT TEAM and he also made some nice photos for the Outsider Club Magazine!

ADCC Submission Wrestling Super Fights in Zürich!

Armin Eslami surprises the competition from Brazil!!

Augusto Frota had invited with the Brazilian Top Team (BTT) and the American Top Team (ATT) very strong fighters. The high-ranking Fightcard was strengthened by fighters from Finland and Holland such as Martin de Jong. The OC Team was set with Armin Eslami (Taifun Luta Livre), Mike Cüppers (Free Fighters Cologne) and Fatih Balci (Gorilla Team A. Sopper) in the ADCC Wrestling Superfights. In the Professional Shooto Switzerland II was announced Sebastian Korschilgen for OC FIGHT TEAM. - The absolute highlight in the ADCC was the fight of Ivan Negro against Armin Eslami (in the photo left)! The aggressively acting Negro tried to exert pressure from the outset on Eslami and to terminate the fight fast. But under the instructions of his coach Daniel d`Dane, which is in attendance in Germany at present, Armin Eslami was almost uncontrollable. He dominated his opponent over the entire fight time and Ivan Negro had much work, not prematurely to tapp out in the Gilloutine Choke from Eslami. Here the public came into rage and it prevailed almost Brazilian conditions. From all sides the visitors roared on the fighters and under loud applause announced the speaker the victory of Armin Eslami. - Fatih Balci (in the photo left) fought as second fighter against Ricardo Oliviera. Balci lost after a short fight against this Brazilian grappler. From a harmless leg clasping Oliviera could pivot himself into a lever position and won with a leg lever. Fatih Balci fought for the first time in the ADCC and as Freefighter he is a hopeful talent. - Mike Cüppers (in the photo left) made a very good fight against the repeated BJJ master Parupinha of the American Top Team. After a balanced fight he lost by Kata Gatame after 5 minutes hard fight. Nevertheless Parupinha shown him respect and congratulated him for the good fight.

PROFESSIONAL SHOOTO SWITZERLAND II

In the evening main event Sebastian Korschilgen (Fenriz Berlin) from OC FIGHT TEAM fought against Gesias Cavalcanti from the American Top Team. Gesias Cavalcanti was a physically extremely strong opponent, who's went completely trained in the fight! How the Brazilian organizers classified Cavalcanti, showed the placement of this fight as second main fight of this event! Sebastian was coached by his coach Ulf Fritzmann! After a short stand fight Gesias brought Sebastian to case with a strong Take down, with which he wanted to smash Sebastian extremely! However Sebastian pressed Gesias head down in the case, so that this crashed on the soil! An exciting ground fight developed! Sebastian however could not do release himself from that much confines Mount and had to give up after 1.32 min in the first round by a strong 'France-sa'! Nevertheless a large complement to the fighter of the OC FIGHT TEAM, since he had accepted this challenge and fought hard for the acknowledgment of the public in this Fight.
